Mr. Gilbert K. Squires, P.E., Esq., is founding member of Squires International Law, PLLC, based in Miami,
Florida. The firm was formerly the Law Offices of SquiresBenson, P.L.
A Special Magistrate for the City of North Miami Beach, Florida, Mr. Squires is a Board Certified Specialist
in International Law, Diplomate in International Arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and
Fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators. He is Vice-President of the Dade County Bar Association (largest
Volunteer Bar in the State of Florida) and Past President of the Miami Beach Bar Association.
He is an International and Domestic Arbitrator on the ICDR and AAA Complex Business and Energy Roster of
Neutrals, Maritime, and Construction Arbitrator. His practice emphasizes International and Domestic Arbitration;

Bankruptcy, Museum Art, Real Estate (he’s an Title Agent for Attorneys’ Title — Fund), and Probate and
other matters through appeals. He has successfully litigated, arbitrated, and mediated multimillion-dollar
cross-border claims in the aforementioned types of matters domestically and internationally, through appeal. As
required, he functions as a sole, chair, and wing arbitrator. He successfully co-counsels on international matters
and personal injury cases related to the petroleum industry. Mr. Squires has been Court appointed Receiver in
State Court matters, and as Court Appointed Guardian Ad Litem on numerous Foreclosures and
Guardianships (including Guardian of The Property), and Mediations.
After serving as President of Conoco Mexico, Ltd. 1994 - 1996, he ran a global energy and business- consulting
firm from 1996 through 2001, which dealt with sub-Saharan African businesses and energy business opportunities.
After working in the Panama Canal Zone for a short stent, Mr. Squires began his career as an Offshore Drilling
Engineer in 1980 with Exxon (ExxonMobil) Corporation in New Orleans Louisiana where he led complex offshore
production and exploration drilling programs and procedures. In 1985, he joined Conoco (ConocoPhillips) in
Ventura, California, as Assistant Drilling Manager. At Conoco, he held various Engineering, Operations,
Management, Acquisitions, Business Development, and Executive positions where he lived and worked in the
United States, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and Middle East. During 2000 and 2001, he was Director of
Content Management for Universal Music Latin America, a Division of Universal Music Group and wholly
owned subsidiary of Vivendi-Universal. While with Universal Music, he lived and worked in the United States,
Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and Venezuela.
Admitted to practice law: Florida, The District of Columbia, and New York, Supreme Court of the United
States, Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, Southern District of Florida and Bankruptcy Court, and other Federal
Courts. Professional Engineer in the State of Texas (Petroleum). Attended Law School at night at Oklahoma City
University Law School and the University of Houston Law Center while working in management and operations
positions at Conoco, receiving a Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1993. Born and
raised in the Republic of Panama, he came to the United States in 1976 to attend Engineering School. Graduated
from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1980. Colegio San Agustin,

Italian.
