Informa Exhibitions to Enhance Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show® in 2017 and Beyond FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.

(July 14, 2017) – The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show® , the top annual boating event for the global marine industry and consumers, is about to elevate the show experience even further. Informa Exhibitions, the company that manages and produces the show, has announced plans to enhance the five-day event and support year-round interaction between consumers and exhibitors. The 58th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) takes place Wednesday, November 1 through Sunday, November 5, 2017. From infrastructure improvements to innovative marketing, digital software and hotel booking solutions, Informa Exhibitions’ investments will span numerous aspects of the show experience. This will include new plastic and fiberglass floating docks, half of which will be in place for the upcoming show, new electrical equipment, improved tent flooring and new trucks. Improved wayfinding graphics and signage will make navigating the show’s seven locations, and locating specific products, easier than ever before. Earlier this year, Informa PLC purchased Show Management, the company that managed the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show since 1976. Informa Exhibitions currently delivers more than 200 industry events across the world annually, including the Monaco Yacht Show. “The investments Informa Exhibitions is making in infrastructure, technology and the consumer experience will greatly enhance the show’s appeal to exhibitors, attendees and sponsors,” said Andrew Doole, general manager of Informa Exhibitions' Boating Group. “These improvements will help ensure the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show’s worldwide reputation as the industry’s leading annual event.” In addition to infrastructure improvements, exhibitors, consumers and sponsors will start to benefit from the platforms and resources Informa Exhibitions provides to foster year-round connectivity.  Software helps to plan and manage consumer visits to the show with a “walking list” of exhibitors and products. Sales sheets, technical specifications, marketing materials and videos are easily downloadable by consumers year-round and exhibitors can access information about customer searches for specific products.  The new advertising and marketing approach consists of a multi-channel advertising campaign with location remarketing and elevated involvement in community partnerships. Redesigned sponsorships, focused on value and sponsor ROI, offer a wide range of price points and new opportunities for guest-sponsor engagement.  New hotel contracting resources and planning options offer a mix of hotel brands and locations through an easy-to-manage reservation system with onsite support staff and white glove services for exhibitors and groups. Owned by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida and managed and produced by Informa Exhibitions, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is the largest boat show in the world in terms of gross exhibitor space and number of vessels. The show attracts approximately 100,000 attendees, 1,000 exhibitors and more than 1,200 boats each November and is widely regarded as the top annual boating event where consumers and the global marine industry gather to buy, sell, meet up and see what is new. Established in 1959, the show has grown to seven locations with more than 3 million square feet of space, all connected by a network of water taxis, riverboats and shuttles. Locations include the Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel & Yachting Center, Hall of Fame Marina, Las Olas Municipal Marina, Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, Sails Marina, Hyatt Regency Pier 66 Marina, and the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center. The show’s local, regional and statewide economic benefits are substantial. According to the results of an economic impact study conducted by Thomas J. Murray & Associates in conjunction with the University of Florida released in July 2016, the 2015 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show contributed more than $857 million to Florida’s economy. In addition to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and the Monaco Yacht Show, Informa Exhibitions produces Yachts Miami Beach, the Palm Beach International Boat Show, Suncoast Boat Show, and the St. Petersburg Power and Sail Boat Show. Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show Signs Long-Term Lease with Bahia Mar
With up to 50-year agreement in place, Informa Exhibitions plans enhancements to exhibitor and attendee experiences

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (June 14, 2017) – The Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) and Informa Exhibitions have signed a 30-year lease extension with the Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel & Yachting Center to keep the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the world’s largest in-water yachting and boating exhibition, at the property through 2050. The new lease also has two 10-year extension options, allowing for up to 50 years in place. Owned by the MIASF and managed and produced by Informa Exhibitions, the largest boat show in the world in terms of gross exhibitor space and number of vessels attracts approximately 100,000 attendees, 1,000 exhibitors and more than 1,200 boats each November and is widely regarded as the top annual boating event where consumers and the global marine industry gather to buy, sell, meet up, and see what is new. With the lease extension in place, the Fort Lauderdale City Commission voted to allow the operators of Bahia Mar, Rahn Bahia Mar LLC, to submit plans for redeveloping the 39-acre site into an upscale community and the permanent home of the boat show. “As lifelong residents of South Florida, we understand both the symbolic and the economic importance of the boat show to our marine industry and to the vitality of our community,” said Jimmy Tate, who heads the Rahn Bahia Mar development group. “We are committed to creating a resort-style community and waterfront destination that is the permanent home of the boat show.” Established in 1959, the show has grown to seven locations with more than 3 million square feet of space, including Bahia Mar, five additional marinas and the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center, all connected by a network of water taxis, riverboats and shuttles. “We look forward to working closely with the owners of Bahia Mar, the MIASF and all our stakeholders on the continued success of this extraordinary boat show for the next 30 years and beyond,” said Charlie McCurdy, CEO of Informa Exhibitions. “With the lease extension in place, we are prepared to commit significant resources to improving the show’s infrastructure, technologies, and customer services in ways that will noticeably enhance exhibitor and attendee experiences.” Earlier this year, London-based Informa PLC purchased Show Management, the company that managed the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show since 1976, the year it relocated to Bahia Mar. Informa Exhibitions currently delivers more than 200 industry events across the world annually, including the Monaco Yacht Show.
The 58th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show will take place Wednesday, November 1 through Sunday, November 5, 2017. In March 2016, Show Management signed a 30-year extension to its agreement with the MIASF to produce the show. "We are working diligently with all stakeholders involved, including exhibitors, venues, local hoteliers and the MIASF, to build upon the strength of this boat show,” said McCurdy. “We are committed to enhancing attendee engagement through community partnerships, commitment to local charitable organizations and an expanded focus on the overall experience.” The show’s local, regional and statewide economic benefits are substantial. According to results of an economic impact study conducted by Thomas J. Murray & Associates in conjunction with the University of Florida released in July 2016, the 2015 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show contributed in excess of $857 million to Florida’s economy. "Informa's exhibition expertise, coupled with Bahia Mar's transformational redevelopment, will ensure that the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show delivers an economic benefit that will continue to secure the region as the yachting capital of the world," said Phil Purcell, CEO/President of the Marine Industries Association of South Florida. Ferrari Extends Sebastian Vettel through the 2020 Formula One World Championship

Ferrari Museum Expands

The Ferrari Museum of Maranello today opens its new exhibition spaces and two exhibitions - "Under the Skin" and "Infinite Red" - in the presence of President and CEO of Ferrari Sergio Marchionne, Vice President Piero Ferrari, Director of the London Design Museum Deyan Sudjic and Mayor of Maranello Massimiliano Morini.

The Ferrari Museums enjoyed a record year in 2016 with more than 478,000 visitors, of whom 344,000 came to Maranello. So also in order to cope with a growing public, the Museum's spaces have been extended by more than 600 square metres to a total of 4,100 square metres, creating a new wing that connects to the existing structure by means of a great continuous glass facade, and a new museum itinerary. In addition, a multifunctional space of about 300 square metres has been built, which can host up to 250 people for events, conventions and educational activities. The refreshments area and the Ferrari Store are also completely new.

Two new exhibitions, "Under the Skin" and "Infinite Red", celebrate Ferrari on its 70th anniversary. The former recalls the founder and the evolution of the company's innovation and style, while the latter covers the company's history through its models.

"Under the Skin"

The "Under the Skin" exhibition, created in partnership with the London Design Museum, recounts the creative and engineering development of Ferrari down the years through a series of exceptional cars beginning with the 125 S, the marque's first car. Some technical drawings from the historical archive of the Prancing Horse and the engines on display reveal the design process of cars of all eras, casting an unprecedented eye over the engineering work hidden behind their exterior beauty. Design models and the Wind Gallery also show the evolution of styles and technologies down the years, recalling how Enzo Ferrari was at the  forefront of experimenting with new scientific techniques. A parallel exhibition itinerary strongly linked to the first one reminds us of the main biographical stages, the work and the competitive spirit that has made Ferrari famous worldwide. The exhibition will move to the London Design Museum from November.

"Infinite Red"

This exhibition celebrates the 70-year history of the Prancing Horse with some of Maranello's most exclusive creations for track and road. The Formula One cars on display have a long series of victories to their name: from the 500 F2, with which Alberto Ascari won for Ferrari the first world drivers' title in 1952, to the F2004, the Ferrari that won the most GPs in history (15, like the F2002) and concluded Michael Schumacher's epic run of world titles, and finally the F2008, which won the World Constructors' Championship. Among the GT cars, visitors can admire various models from the 250 family, such as the 250 GT Berlinetta "Tdf", which dominated races in the second half of the 1950s, its evolution the 250 GT Berlinetta SWB and the 250 GTO, a collectors' favourite. Then down to the present, the exhibition features a number of limited special series such as the F50, the Enzo and the latest, the LaFerrari, also present in the non-homologated FXX K version for exclusive use on track.

The exhibition "Under the Skin" will remain at Maranello until November 2017, while "Infinite Red" is open until the end of the year. The Ferrari Museum is open every day from 9:30 am to 7 pm (from November to March it closes at 6 pm).

Lamborghini Presents First Worldwide Showcase of Commemorative Vehicles during Monterey Car Week 2017

Automobili Lamborghini presents, for the first time worldwide, a unique collection of vehicles in special trim during Monterey Car Week 2017, to commemorate the annual automotive event.

The trio of special edition cars is revealed to showcase Lamborghini’s Ad Personam bespoke program, which allows customers to choose from an infinite combination of colors and materials, providing the opportunity to create vehicles with truly unique characteristics. The rare collection stirs interest from collectors and enthusiasts throughout the 2017 Monterey Car Week festivities.

The models in distinct “Ad Personam for Pebble Beach” trim include the all-new flagship Aventador S and the record-breaking Huracán Performante, joined by the stunning, open-topped Huracán RWD Spyder. Details of the special edition trio are meticulously curated by Lamborghini’s dedicated Ad Personam customization atelier.

All three of the vehicles are displayed at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, on Friday, August 18, with the commemorative Huracán Performante highlighted singly on the Pebble Beach Concept Lawn, during the historic Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on Sunday, August 20.

The Aventador S coupé makes its inaugural appearance at the California event featuring a vibrant orange, Arancio Xanto exterior with visible carbon fiber on the roof and full carbon fiber in the lower portions of the vehicle. Nero Ade leather and Alcantara interior are accentuated by orange stitching and inserts. Dianthus rims in matte titanium emphasize the Aventador’s exotic, stylish and muscular exterior. Capable of 740 horsepower, the new V12 Aventador S on display also features a transparent engine bonnet, and in addition introduces a new improved chassis and rear-wheel steering system with inspiring new aerodynamic design.

For the custom V10 Huracán Performante, which holds the production record at the “green hell” Nürburgring Nordschleife, a stunning deep green, Verde Hydra color palette matches with Narvi bronze wheels and bronze gloss livery on the front bumper are showcased. The inside cabin, clothed in black, Nero Cosmus, with Nero Ade Alcantara inserts, features bronze stitching on the steering wheel and the optional Style package.

When it comes to the open-topped Huracán, the rear-wheel-drive example stuns audiences with its silver, Grigio Astarte styling, coupled with gloss black Giano wheels. An Elegante Interior in Nero Ade leather with brown Terra Emilia contrast color and Grigio Chronus stitching tops off the inside experience.

In addition to the three Monterey 2017 cars, Lamborghini conducts test drives at The Quail Lodge throughout the weekend while hosting VIP and media guests from a suite on the 18thGreen during the Pebble Beach Concour d’Elegance on Sunday, August 20.
